IDB-Blue scored a comfortable 4-wicket win over IDB-White in the 10-over Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Cricket Tournament, organized by the Social and Cultural Forum at the Banks’ Green Lawn ground recently.

IDB-Blue batted first and scored 94 runs off their stipulated overs. Skipper Muzzammil Riyaz top-scored with 27 runs followed by Shaharyar Javed with 18 runs.

Muhammed Ameen took 5 wickets for the bowling side. In reply IDB-White managed to score 56 runs in reply. Shahzad was the highest scorer with 22 runs. Taimur Khan was the other batsman who got 15 runs.

In the second match, IDB-Green (ICIEC) got the better of IDB-Orange by 20 runs after putting up 69 runs on board. Captain Zeeshan Iqbal scored 32 runs followed by Riyad 16.

Zeeshan got 2 wickets for the bowling side.

In reply IDB-Orange were bowled out for 49 runs. Zaid Omar got 2 wickets.

In the last match, IDB-Red scored a comfortable 6-wicket win over IDB-White. The inform Asif Mahmoud got a brisk 46 runs in his team’s total of 71 runs and helped them to enter the last four stage. Wasi got 14 runs.

IDB-White replied with 66 runs. Taimur Khan gave a fine all-round performance as he scored 17 runs and got 2 wickets. IDB-White are out of the running for a semifinal spot.
