DAMMAM: Al-Ghamdi continued their unbeaten run in Matski Maritime-sponsored Eastern Province Cricket Association league when they routed Pak Saudi by nine wickets during the fifth week matches played here.

Pak Saudi were restricted to 188 for 9 after 19 overs. Ahsan bowled well and claimed 3 wickets.

Al-Ghamdi achieved their target for the loss of one wicket for their fifth successive win. Ahmed Rauf hammered an unbeaten 103 runs while Raheel was not out on 47.

Elsewhere, another brilliant hundred from Irfan Farooqui helped Sikander Farooqui rout Gyptech Dolphins. Gyptech Dolphins 270 for 9 (Zuhair Bukhari 106, Hassan Bukhari 43, Ayub Khan 3 wickets) lost to Sikander Farooqui (Irfan Farooqui 139 not out, Imran Farooqui 71).

Unbeaten centuries from Aims Bindelamah’s batsmen, Tanveer Hussain and Mohsin Nawaz hammered hapless Team Abbasi by 211 runs. Aims Bindelamah 388 for 3 (Tanveer Hussain 122 not out, Mohsin Nawaz 104 not out, Kashif Riaz 56) beat Team Abbasi 177 (Rajesh 3 wickets, Jafar 3).

A scintillating hundred from Asif Mughal and composed half centuries from Aftab Magray (71) and Rizwan Qayyum (61) let Al-Tuwairqi to a match winning total of 319 for 4 against Marooj Rawan. Marooj Rawan’s chase never got going and eventually only two of their batsmen made into 40’s, which gave Al-Tuwairqi a comfortable 107-run win. Al-Tuwairqi 319 for 4 (Sawan 3 wickets) beat Marooj Rawan 212 for 8 (Imran 45, Asif 43; Syed Ather Ali 3 wickets).

Gulam Mujtaba’s chanceless 103 aided with excellent five from Ram Ganesh and four from Anwar Khan guided Harley-Davidson to an astounding148 run victory over Al-Bawardi. Harley-Davidson 329 for 9 (Gulam Mujtaba 103, Mohammed Afzal 41 not out; Mohsin Khan 3 wickets) beat Al-Bawardi 181 for 10 (Shajeeullah Khan 40, Sameen Khan 48, Ram Ganesh 5 wickets, Anwar Khan 4).

Abdul Qayyum’s magnificent innings of 197 could not prevent Deccan Challengers from Sadiq Rafeeq’s onslaught who scored his third century as Bindelamah Adapco comfortably chased 313 runs by losing 5 wickets. Deccan Challengers 313 for 9 (Abdul Qayyum 195, Mohammed Azeem 40, Naeemdad & Tanveer 3 wickets each) lost to Bindelamah Adapco 315 for 5 (Sadiq Rafeeq 146, Mohd Tanveer 74).

A quick fire 80 runs by Feroz Ahmed helped Royal Kashmir beat EI Plus Arabia comfortably by 27 runs. Royal Kashmir 286 for 9 (Shoaib 60, Feroz Ahmed 80, Saleemullah Daar, Mouazam 4 wickets each) beat EI Plus Arabia 259 (Nabeel 56, Saleemullah Daar 41; Firdous 4 wickets).

AMPS Friends continued their winning spree as they made short work of DHL Express by 8 wickets with 19.3 overs to spare. DHL 216 (Kashaan 85, Aqeel Azad 3 wickets) lost to Friends 220 for 2 (Aqeel Azad 57, Asif 47 not out, Muraad 89 not out).

Young Guns continued their dominance in the second division with a superb chase and win over Imran Tigers Academy. Imran Tiger’s Rizwan scored a brilliant ton, but Kashif missed out by 10 runs, it wasn’t enough at the end as Young Guns’ skipper Ammar’s innings of 122 runs with Bilal guided them to an easy win. Imran Tigers 313 for 6 (Rizwan 100, Kashif 90, Mudassir 3 wickets) lost to Young Guns 314 for 8 (Ammar 122, Bilal 65; Anwar 4 wickets).

Babar Aslam’s maiden century and an all-round performance by Shamas Sajjad fashioned Hyderabad Green’s victory over Team Arabia. Hyderabad Green 291 (Babar Aslam 104, Shamas Sajjad 40, Shamnad Elyas 6 wickets) beat Team Arabia 257 (Kannan 94, Shamas 4 wickets; Ijaz 3 wickets) by 34 runs.

Rapid half centuries from Gladiator’s; Mubin Feroz, Mashal Sohail and Wamique Feroz compounded with Saif’s five wickets was too much for KLV Al-Khodari as they were beaten by 124 runs. Gladiators 316 for 5 (Mubin 62, Mashal 75, Wamique 54, Faisal 37 not out, Saif 37 not out) beat KLV Al-Khodari 192 (Ayub 55, Khawaja 56; Saif 5 wickets, Talha 3).
