EDDAH: Sadafco-Saudia Milk was blowing hot and cold and, well, hot again these past three weeks as it claimed a Team of the Week and men’s Bowler of the Week double in the fifth session in the 35th FTBJ-ICBL Sky Freight Forwarders League at the Bowling City here.

Winning a three-way battle for honors, Sadafco posted the top tally of 42 points ahead of Hal Falcon and Hidada Ltd., which tied on 40 points.

Rock N Roll enjoyed a strong performance for the second straight week on 34 points, good for fourth place on the day, and as a result got out of last place in the 12-team field of this Friday afternoon league event.

Ceebee Aviation and D’ Barkads were tied on 28 points followed by Steelers 25, Par Excellence 21 and Sky Freight-OSN 18. ICBL Mix Insert, Sagmit Dental Clinic and Al Murjana rounded out the week’s finish on 14, 11.5 and 10.5 points in that order.

Hal Falcon won the first two games and Hidada the third but then both lacked the consistency that Sadafco parlayed into victory.

Also on Sadafco’s side is Jimmy Urbano who shot the high series of 740 to become the men’s Bowler of the Week that sealed a Sadafco double.

Class A bowler Urbano carded lines of 265, 247 and 216 to pace teammates Majid Aslani 623 and Igna Salgado 558. The ladies pair of Malou Nidoy and Marissa Resano had matching cards of 531s for Sadafco which got back the lead it briefly relinquished to Hidada.

On a good day of scoring, Rene Punzalan was the second player to cross 700 on 709 at the vanguard of Hal, which netted 650 from Zaldy Bacero, 594 from Rey Beltan, 530 from Lourdes Punzalan and 482 from Jeanette Cerbito.

Riding momentum of a Team of the Week award-winning display the previous session, Hidada got big numbers from Nonie Yap 643, Cesar Monares 622 and Pinky Acato 691. Grace Siasoco added 532 while Nanding Siasoco had 179-180 and Romy Bunagan made 171.

Aileen Miralbuna was the top performer on the distaff side, shooting 614 (157, 162, 205) to become the ladies Bowler of the Week while leading the way for Rock N Roll. Rom Cagampang and Jay Bengco complemented Aileen on 586 and 581 with Maloy Gime on 195-177 and Lenlen Berina 170-160.

Pancho Cuevas was a few pins short of 600 with his 597 at the forefront of Ceebee. Aisah Silabay came through with 566 and Minda Guevarra had 564 from the distaff side, while Danny Bautista contributed 200-197 and Ryan Conde had 171.

D’ Barkads’ Majid Aslani at 623 was among players to breach 600-series, and so were Steelers’ Nato Gonzales 622 and Emil Payongayong of Par Excellence 623.
