JEDDAH: Building blocks to another title run, three-time champion Sky Freight-OSN clinched its third Team of the Week award during the ninth

session in the OSN-FTBJ 50th Open Conference bowling tournament at the Bowling City here.

The Sky Freight team of Emy de Guzman was far and away the best on the night to return the top tally of 46 points.

Veteran Goying Salazar enjoyed a prodigious performance to set up a Sky Freight double by becoming the Bowler of the Week after shooting the high series of 707 on lines of 240, 243 and 224.

Al Murjana, still searching for its breakthrough award, finished a distant second to Sky Freight on 37.5 points with Habagat two points further back on 35.5.

Xtreme-Taurus, the first perfect 48 scorer of the tournament, compiled 31.5 points with GBI-TBBGI on 30.5 points, Alfa Moe Yasser 30, MC Hammer 29 and Masaken 24.

Red Dragons 17, BCT-Lutong Pinoy 14 and D’ Barkads 13 were the last three teams to check in with respective tallies of 17, 14 and 13 points.

Bonnie Garcia and Oca Bernabe fired 666 and 612 in support of Salazar at Sky Freight, which picked up pace after a third-place start to win the last two games and overall output.

Pancho Cuevas at 571 was the other player to go the distance for Sky Freight with Nanding Siasoco on 212-179 and Ryan Conde on 195.

Murjana used a six-man team like Sky Freight and it was the duo of Ruel Santoc and Elo Manalo that led the way on 686 and 632. Rey Beltran added 572, Archie Santos 570 while August Tendinero contributed 163-151 and Nap Patayan 223.

Habagat had Richard Antonio taking charge in a five-man rotation on 640. Med Ramos came through with 622, George Mangaliman tallied 592, Ver Jasa made 573 and Rommel Cagampang tossed in 567.

For Xtreme-Taurus Joel Nidoy and Edwin Ronquillo took the helm on 653 and 638 to go with the 545 by Alex Flora, 166-154 by Ric Ngel, 168-203 by Reggie Mendoza and 210-172 by Raul delos Reyes.
