Three-time champion Sky Freight-OSN became the first team to repeat as Team of the Week with the highest total thus far during the fourth session in the OSN-FTBJ 50th Open Conference bowling tournament at the Bowling City here.

The honoree on opening week, Emy De Guzman’s Sky Freight squad was far and away the best on the night with 46 points, just 2 points shy of the perfect score of 48.

BCT-Lutong Pinoy came up short for the second straight time and settled for second-best on 42 followed by Xtreme-Taurus 36 and Alfa-Moe Yasser 35.

The previous week honoree, Bank AlJazira Fawri, was fifth in the week’s race on 30 points. Defending champion Al Murjana and D’ Barkads tied on 27 as did MC Hammer and Hal Falcon on 20.5.

The last three teams to check in were Habagat 14, GBI-TBBGI 8 and Red Dragons 6.

Cesar Monares of Alfa-Moe fired the high series of 665 on lines of 233, 237 and 171 to be the Bowler of the Week.

Oca Bernabe presided the Sky Freight’s efficient display with 661 and he was supported by James Galvan 606 and Nanding Siasoco 617. With two games each for Sky Freight, which ranked third behind Xtreme-Taurus and Lutong Pinoy to miss a potential 48, were Rod Morales 167-190, Bonnie Garcia 208-185 and Goying Salazar 234-226.

Over at Lutong Pinoy the trio of Mohd Al Amari, Gerry Mandanas and Ed Sardina took charge on 602, 590 and 564. They were backed by Igna Salgado 563, Nezar Al Hamwe 194-217 and Paul Antiporda 187.

Xtreme-Taurus had Jimmy Urbano at the helm on 657 that went with the 582, 556 and 551 by Lexter Atienza, Reggie Mendoza and Joel Nidoy. Alex Flora carded 196-178 and Raul de los Reyes had 159 to complete the scoring.

Monares led the Alfa Moe’s five-man rotation with that 665 with Obie Ycasas on 570, Rally Zamora 563, Yasser Hokbi 559 and Danny Bautista 545.
