Taurus posted a rare grand slam, becoming the Team of the Week and winning the awards for men’s and ladies Bowler of the Week during the 10th session in the OFBC Friday Morning League 5+1 Season 3 at the Ice Land Bowling Center here.

League leader Taurus finished the session with the top tally of 26 points as it crushed Cyclone Star 18-2 on total pinfalls of 2,738-2,658 and rank points of 8-2.

And paving the way for a Taurus slam were Jun Caisip and Minda Gueverra after they clinched the men’s Bowler of the Week and ladies Bowler of the Week plums on 690 and 517 respectively.

American Garden was drawn against the bye team but failed to capitalize, adding only 3 rank points off total pinfalls of 2,425 to its automatic 20 match points.

Velocity Strikers, with a lot of ground to cover as a result of a rampant Taurus at the top of the team standings, trounced D’ Pin Busters 16-4 on total pinfalls of 2,445-2,304, rank points of 5-2 and totals of 21-6.

In the other match, D’ Luf’s Strikers and D’ RJ’s Cardinals battled to a 10-10 draw on total pinfalls of 2,504-2,430, rank points of 6-4 and totals of 16-14.

Edwin Ronquilo and Jun Pamintuan were the others to roll full games at Taurus on 527 and 489, while Gil Catral made 126-154 and Regino Mendoza added 145.

The quartet of Louie Pasia 502, Christine Stone 482, Lexter Atienza 469 and Shirley Sagmit 465 led the scoring at American Garden with Tom Langa on 167-160.

Carmen Duma shot 512 at the helm of Luf’s, which also got contributions from Cesar Pagtalunan 486, Cromwell Marzo 459, Alexander Duma 456, Tirso Bambalan 204-165 and Sol Cuenca 168.

From the Cardinals the scorers were skipper Rudy Jamon 510, Richard Junio 481, Ed Cordova 480, Kristhea Busico 477, Conrad Baltazar 170-150 and Rey Serrano 104.
