Team Manchester United won a thrilling final beating team Barcelona in a shootout in the third Jeddah Sports Club Electa in house football tournament.

In the month-long tournament played at Dunk ground on Tahlia Street, both teams claimed final spots through a tough round robin league.

In the final, in front of a holiday crowd, both teams played attacking football. Barcelona came from behind to take a 2-1 lead. However, Manchester fought back and found the net with minutes remaining before the final whistle to equalize. Amal Naseer, Muhamed Nabeel (Manchester) and Adil Ahmed (Barcelona) scored the goals during the shootout.

During regular time and in the shootout goalkeeper of Manchester Abdul Aleem Maltoo saved several shots. He singlehandedly led the team to the trophy. He deservedly won the man of the match in the final of the tournament where teams carried names of the European football clubs.

In equally thrilling losers final, Muhamed Jaseel converted a penalty kick in the last moment to lead team Real Madrid to victory over team AC Milan.

Basil Naser was the player of the tournament. Shuaib Noushad Ali was the budding star of the tournament. The youngest player Yasin who performed brilliantly got a cash award from ACC club. Guys of Jeddah presented award to Amal Naseer who scored first goal in the final. Haneefa, who trained team Manchester, was selected as best coach.

Saudi Indian Football Forum president Hifsu Rahman, former SIFF presidents TP Ahmed, KP Abdul Salam, Sameer Harara (Electa manager), Abdul Latheef (Electa sales manager), Muhamed Attiya (LG), Azeem Taneja, Tahir Ali (United Naghi), and Nadir Kalappadan (EFS Cago) were present at the closing ceremoney. Acting JSC chairman TP Basheer welcomed the audience.
