Popular Tape Ball Cricket Tournament in Jeddah TCF Jotun Champions Trophy 2015 powered by FSN successfully ended here recently with Young Star Cricket Club claiming the 7th edition of the tournament beating EFS KKR by 9 runs in the final.

Young Star captain Rafaqat won the toss and elected to bat first. Opener Aamir Sidique gave a blistering start for his team and scored 33 runs in just 13 balls with five sixes. But EFS KKR bowlers bounced back in the middle overs and put Young Star batsman under tremendous pressure by taking wickets at regular intervals. Young Star finished their on 124 for the loss of 7 wickets in 12 overs. Afthab scored 21 runs. Jahangir of EFS KKR took 2 wickets for 26 runs.

In reply, EFS KKR lost the hard-hitting opening batsman Shamsuddin in the first over and the team was under tremendous pressure because of solid bowling performance by Masood. Even though they lost wickets frequently EFS maintained good run rate by keeping scoreboard ticking. In the end, it was last wicket pair of Shajahan-Shafeeq that gave the team hope by hitting sixes and fours. When they need 10 runs in last two balls Shafeeq was run out and EFS KKR eventually lost the match.

Masood was awarded man of the final for his magical spell of 6 wickets for 14 runs in 3 overs.

Young Star and EFS KKR set up the final clash by respectively beating defending champion Dazzle Super Kings by 40 runs and My Own Challengers by 50 runs.

TCF organized flood lit tennis ball cricket tournament in Jeddah for the seventh consecutive year. Top 16 cricket teams in Jeddah participated in the 10-over tournament. Jotun Legal Affairs Manager Hussain Fakheih was the chief guest for the closing ceremony.

Jahangir of EFS KKR won the prize for man of the series while Aamir Sidique of Young Star received the best batsman award. Jahangir of EFS KKR was selected the best bowler, Shahabaz of My Own best performer, Jahangir of EFS KKR fastest fifty, Alyaar Safayaan of Srilankan Titan best fielder, Shameel of EFS KKR best wicket keeper, Aamir Sidique top sixer, and Abdul Wahid of Dazzle Super Kings top boundary while Shameel and Usman Amjad won Air Arabia tickets.

Team Jotun Penguins received Arcoma Spirit of Game Award, Al Max Cricket Club won Al Shamasi Debut Team Award and

Dazzle Super Kings Pullman Al Hamra Special Award. Ajmal Nazeer and Haris Abdul Hameed gave live commentary throughout the tournament. Rifas KM, Riyaz PV and Ziyad Kedaran were in charges of scores.

During closing ceremony, TCF President Mohammed Faseesh welcomed the guests. Riyaz TV, Thanzeem, Razik VP, Reehan, Riyaz M, Sadik, Zahnas and Shamseer KM along with other TCF officials presided the prize distribution function.

General Secretary Shameer gave a vote of thanks praising the guests, teams, sponsors, and media persons for making the tournament a grand success.
