Tadawul recovers after early drop

The Saudi stock market continued its positive movement, adding few more points yesterday.
The Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) stepped up 0.2 percent to 6,902.53 points yesterday. The index plunged to a maximum of 40.6 points earlier yesterday. Spending most of the session in the downward territory it took a sharp uplift just before the closing bell, gaining more than 13.9 points.
All market cap indices ended the day in the upward district.
Eleven out of Tadawul's fifteen sectors ended the day in green territory, accumulating an aggregate of 292.4 points. Energy & Utilities sector remained at top showing an increase of 1.47 percent to 4,830.83 from 4,760.99.
Insurance sector bucked the 4-day downward trend yesterday and turned green with reasonable gains, achieving 1.32 percent growth to close at 1,434.66. Amana Cooperative Insurance also switched its position from worst performer of the previous three days to the biggest gainer of the day, up 9.89 percent to close the day at SR 152.75.
Etihad Etisalat Co. (Mobily), Saudi Electricity Co. and Kingdom Holding made the biggest jumps among heavyweight equities, rising by 1.7 percent, 1.5 percent and 1.4 percent respectively.
Market breadth was slightly positive, whereby 69 symbols closed in green and 67 closed in red, while 20 remained unchanged.
Share trading activity remained high as compared to previous trading day; turnover went up by 10.1 percent in terms of volume and 5.5 percent in terms of value.
