Team NBA leads in Etihad Bowling League

Bouncing back from its lackluster performance last week, Team NBA overwhelmed Yaris X with a lopsided 20-4 win in Week 5 of the Unified Filipino Tenpin Bowlers of Riyadh (UFTBR)-Etihad Airways Tuesday Bowling League at the Universal Bowling Center (UBC).
NBA which bagged its second Team of the Week award was led by Art Yukong with a series of 934, with contributions from Joe Garrido (760), Joel Batolina (414), Earl De Vera (397), Bandar Al-Marshad (392), Ronald Bautista (382) and Ellen Bernabe (360). With the win, NBA maintained its No. 1 position in the team standings with a total of 107 points.
Not to be outdone, SABB Advance also posted a win over Vinnell Arabia 19-11 and remained second in the standings just one point behind NBA at 106. In other matches, Unica was upset by Pin Pals 13-12, Saco Bolts outbowled Thrill Seekers 15-5, Habagat zipped past Mandirigma 15-7, Pin Hitters defeated Lane Cruisers 17-8 and Kamahalan outgunned Ayaw Na in a closely fought game 16 -14.
Yukong bagged the Bowler of the Week awards together with Lulu Quejada of Kamahalan with a series of 799. Ronald Bautista remained strong in his hold of the MVP race Group 1 with an average of 222.63 followed by Prince Mohammed Al-Saud (219.13) and Ernee Noto (217.5). In the Group 2 MVP Ferdie Dela Rosa still leads with an average of 191 followed by Shawn Rickets (187.07) and Fathi Abdulaziz (186.61).

Meantime, 28 teams confirmed participation in the upcoming UFTBR annual Ramadan Goodwill Games to be held Aug. 22-24 at UBC.
