To be held on Jan. 18-22, the expo will also include several educational programs and contests for children at Granada Mall, said a Riyadh municipality official.

The exhibition that aims to highlight the marketing and tourist potentials is being organized by the Riyadh branch of Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) in collaboration with the Granada Mall and in partnership with a number of public sector organizations, including the Riyadh municipality, King Abdul Aziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Dara), the National Museum, Al-Musmak Museum, Maritime Safety Committee, Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Bari, a national handicraft program.

Being held under the sponsorship of Bodul with support from Narcissus Hotel and some public organizations, the exhibition has educational programs and events, in addition to a drawing studio and a park for children to enjoy during their ongoing winter break.

A number of private partners of SCTA are taking part in the exhibition, including hotels, furnished apartments, travel and tourism agencies, tour operators and advertising agencies.

In a bid to make the school break more interesting, Al-Aflaj municipality in the province launched three-day Haratna Al-Gadema festival (our old neighborhood) on Friday at its celebration courtyard.

Saad Al-Mohana, director, SCTA Riyadh branch, said: “The commission, in collaboration with its partners through these events, seeks to promote a mental image of domestic tourism and expect a rise in the number of visitors to museums.”
