RIYADH: Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC), received at his office in Riyadh, British Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Simon Collis.

The envoy was accompanied by his wife Huda M Collis.

A delegation from KHC also attended the meeting.

It included Mohammed Almujadidi, senior executive manager, office of the chairman, and Heba Fatani, senior executive manager, Corporate Communications Department, and from the prince’s Private Office attended Hassna Alturki, executive manager for International Relations to the chairman, Fahad bin Nafil, senior executive assistant to the chairman, Ahmed Altobaishi, executive assistant to the chairman. Abir Kaki, secretary general, Alwaleed Philanthropies, was also present.

The meeting began as the Ambassador thanked Prince Alwaleed for giving him the opportunity to meet with him as it is the first meeting for the envoy with Prince Alwaleed since he took up post as British Ambassador to Saudi Arabia.

The two discussed the importance of the long established Saudi-British relations and the efforts made by both countries to maintain it.

They also discussed a number of general local, regional and international issues.

Also, during the meeting Prince Alwaleed and the ambassador discussed the prince’s investments through KHC in the United Kingdom and the prince’s philanthropic global projects in addition to the activities of Alwaleed Philanthropies that is chaired by Prince Alwaleed.

In April 2015, Prince Alwaleed received Tony Blair, former British prime minister and official envoy to the Quartet on the Middle East.
