A high-profile Austrian business delegation will participate in Saudi Build 2013, the 25th edition of international construction technology and building materials exhibition, which will be held at Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center from Nov. 4-7.
Seven Austrian companies will exhibit their high quality products in the exhibition, claimed to be the largest construction technology fair of the Kingdom, said Pierre Prunis, commercial counselor at the Austrian embassy.
Prunis told Arab News that the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, which coordinates and represents the interests of the Austrian business community on a national and international level in cooperation with the commercial section of the Austrian embassy in Riyadh, will organize a group stand
with Austrian companies looking for Saudi partners and customers.
“With an average gross production value of 40 billion euro employing around a quarter of a million people, the Austrian construction industry is considered as a significant economic factor,” he said.
“Saudi Build 2013 is the perfect platform for the seven Austrian companies, who will venture to Riyadh to exhibit their high quality products, technology and knowledge,” Prunis said.
He added that the Austrian companies are well introduced in the Kingdom, participating in major construction projects like public and private buildings, economic cities, universities, hotels, transportation infrastructure as well as water-related projects and power plants.
“In order to enter or extend their business in the growing Saudi market, Austrian companies are very keen and ready to share their know-how in engineering and unique technical solutions with local partners,” he added.
Companies at the Austrian pavilion include AME, one of the European leaders in machines for the production of cement blocks, paving stones and curb stones, Conlux, a specialist in LED lighting technology and photovoltaic technology, Ecotherm, worldwide leading brand for individual solar, hot water and steam solutions and SBM, which ranks among the leading full-package suppliers of mineral processing plants.
Austria and Saudi Arabia enjoy very cordial trade and commerce relations growing at a steady rate and Saudi Arabia is the most important market for Austria in the Middle East.
Last year's trade volume between the two countries was more than a billion euro with the trade balance slightly in favor of Austria.
Saudi Build, which will celebrate its silver jubilee as the region’s premier construction show this year, is described as the largest business to business construction fair in the Kingdom that offers contractors, real estate developers and building owners a full range of building solutions, and the opportunity to access the Saudi and regional construction markets under one roof.
The construction technology and building materials exhibition will also serve as a platform for building new business opportunities in the construction sector of the Kingdom through displays and presentations of the latest in technology, machinery and equipment.
