RIYADH: About 2,000 guests can break their fast at a time in a huge Ramadan tent at the local Four Seasons Hotel, which is renowned for its lavishly decorated tent that promises the ultimate in luxury for iftar and suhoor this year. The Four Seasons has also teamed up with the Saudi Commission for Tourism & National Heritage (SCTH) to display Saudi arts and handicrafts at its Ramadan tent.
This was disclosed by Rolf Lippuner, Four Seasons general manager, here Tuesday. Rolf, while speaking in an interview with Arab News, gave an overview of the services offered by the hotel besides its contribution in training and employing young Saudi boys and girls in different service segments of the hotel industry. Tarek Bekhiet, hotel’s director of marketing, was also present during the interview.
Referring to the Saudization of work force at Four Seasons Hotel, Rolf said that a total of 33 percent of hotel’s employees are Saudis. The hotel, he said, can boast to have on its pay-roll about 44 Saudi women, who have been working in different departments of the hotel. To this end, he noted that two Saudi chefs employed by the hotel have shown exemplary records of services so far.
Referring to the new features of the Ramadan tent this year, Rolf said that “a new concept from our culinary team; Executive Chef Ahmed Fawzy, Saudi Chef Ali Bin Youssef and Banquet team leader Ahmad Mostafa has been introduced.” He pointed out that the popular Elements Restaurant of the hotel is also offering an iftar and suhoor dining concepts focusing on live-action cooking stations.
The Grill restaurant of the hotel, on the other hand, will be featuring a generous nightly buffet for suhoor. He said that “elaborate arrangements have been made for guests to watch UEFA Euro 2016 and feel the pulse of the game on our large flat screen TVs.” To complement the holy month experience, Four Seasons offers a special rate, where guests can stay in a superior single room starting from SR1500 per night, he noted.
Asked about the exclusive facilities the hotel will continue to offer, Bekhiet said that the hotel’s fitness center and Spa will operate as usual for the guests.
