The Gulf International Bank (GIB) posted a net profit of $101.5 million (SR380.6 million) in the last nine months of the current year, an increase of 4.6 percent compared to figures of the same period last year, Saudi Press Agency reported.
The GIB realized a net profit of $40.9 million (SR153.3 million) in Q3 2013, the report said.
Total revenues of the GIB stood at $211.2 million (SR792 million) during the last nine months, an increase of 9 percent over the same period last year.
Meanwhile, net interest income grew by 10 percent to $119.7 million in the period compared to the same period last year, the report said.
On the other hand, the loan portfolio grew by 18 percent in the first half of the year (2013), notably loans granted to big and medium-sized companies, according to the report.
The volume of financial services (not linked to assets) offered to the customers stood at $45.7 million during the period, or an increase of 12 percent, which represented one-fifth of the bank’s total revenues, the report said.
