DAMMAM: The seventh edition of the Saudi Arabia International Oil and Gas Exhibition 2015 (SAOGE) attracted more than 3,000 visitors on the opening day.

The expo, which has the participation of more than 180 oil and gas companies from 25 countries, has also drawn a large number of officials and businessmen.

The three-day show is organized by Dhahran Expo as part of the efforts for developing the oil and gas industry.

During the event, TAFE Arabia for Technical and Further Education announced the signing of an agreement with the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM), under an exclusive partnership launched by the company to enhance its position as a leading center for vocational, engineering and professional training.

Through this deal, TAFE aims to meet the training requirements of various organizations, institutions and companies for their work force in this vital specialization.

TAFE Chairman Abdul Ghani Al-Romaih stated: "We always look forward to establishing the necessary concepts for the development and enhancement of project management in the Kingdom. We do this by monitoring, following up and implementing various programs that promote project management on par with the established international standards."

The AIPM's international diploma in project management with its three levels is a qualification of world repute, as it provides skills and functional efficiency through tools, mechanisms, systems and standards necessary for the effective management of projects.

The diploma also helps in creating convenient, safe and healthy working environment, which raises and improves the level of overall performance, enhances competitiveness, helps to avoid what could be detrimental to the performance system, and supports the general practical and applied framework in different sectors.
