JEDDAH: Prince Mishaal bin Majed, governor of Jeddah, honored Batterjee Medical College for Science and Technology during the Holy Qu’ran contest for students in public and private universities in the Makkah Province

King Abdul Aziz University in Jeddah organized the event.

Hassan Shaibah, BMC dean, who received the honorary shield, expressed his delight with this honor.

He said that the college won the third place in memorizing the whole Qu’ran and the third place in memorizing 20 juze (parts) from the Qu’ran.

The college has also won the fifth place for the number of participants in the contest.

Dr. Shaibah praised the divine message of this contest which comes to motivate students to memorize the Holy Qu’ran and guide them to take the outmost advantage of their leisure time.

He added that the college has always been particularly keen on supporting students who memorize the Holy Qur’an which reflects its interest in improving students intellectually, scientifically and academically.

From his part, Sobhi Batterjee, chairman of the board of trustees, expressed his gratitude for the unlimited support extended by the Governor of Jeddah, stressing that the college’s mission is to contribute significantly to society through unsurpassed medical education, community service, and research while maintaining Islamic values.
