"It is an event that we at ACE ensure to develop year on year in line with our strategy to boost the tourism and the local trade industry," ACE Vice President Zahoor Siddique stated.

The Jeddah International Trade Fair is today considered by many to be a key fixture on the country's annual calendar of major events that are geared toward supporting the private sector and its pool of players, which are growing exponentially with new and innovative ideas for business burgeoning continuously, he added.

“Saudi Arabian market remains attractive for a multitude of large and medium industry sectors and the statistics substantiate the facts, he said, adding that the Kingdom’s economy is stable with a GDP growing at 4.5 percent, with $24,500 per capita income and a strong budget allocation of $228 billion for 2014, he said.

“Trade forecasts indicate a growth of 5.4 percent for the nonoil sector, generating revenue of $33 billion showing an annual increase of 10.4 percent,” he added.

He said all the above indicators bode well for the small and medium enterprises and a strong and buoyant consumer products market.

The show, which will remain open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. till Dec. 9, caters to the specific needs of the Saudi market addressing the increasing demands of the local manufacturers leading to multi-million deals, and will be an ideal platform for businessmen, traders, industrialists and entrepreneurs.
