KARACHI: Pakistani stocks ended lower on Tuesday with energy stocks dragging the index down, analysts said.

The benchmark 100-share index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange closed down 0.35 percent at 32,623.02.

“Fertilizers and textiles came down because of an overall weak outlook regarding these sectors,” said Gohar Rasool, head of international sales at Inter Market Securities Pvt Ltd.

Among the losers were Fauji Fertilizer Company Ltd. and Gul Ahmed Textile Mills Ltd.

Two days of decline in international oil prices hit Pakistani energy stocks hard on Tuesday, Rasool said.

Oil and Gas Development Company Ltd, Pakistan Oilfields Ltd. and Pakistan Petroleum Ltd. ended lower.
