RIYADH: The Kingdom's nonoil exports fell by value in the second quarter of 2015 to about SR46.64 billion compared to SR56.19 billion for the same quarter of last year, a decrease of SR9.55 billion or 17 percent, SPA reports.

On the other hand, the value of the Kingdom's imports fell in the second quarter of 2015 by 2.2 percemt to about SR166.23 billion, down SR3.82 billion for the same quarter of last year, which recorded about SR 170.05 billion.

The quarterly report issued by the Central Department of Statistics and Information (CDSI) for the second quarter of 2015 pointed out that the Kingdom's nonoil commodity exports registered a decline of one percent compared with the first quarter of 2015, in which they registered about SR47.10 billion, as the value of the Kingdom's imports recorded a rise of 2.3 percent compared to the previous quarter, which registered about SR162.53 billion.

CDSI Director General of Economic Statistics said the Kingdom's nonoil commodity exports were down 28.06 percent in the second quarter of 2015 compared to 33.04 percent for the same quarter of last year, but this ratio was low from the first quarter of 2015, which registered 28.98 percent.
