Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), Jeddah office, in cooperation with Asharqia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is organizing Malaysian maritime services companies’ trade visit to the region. The companies specialize in shipbuilding, ship repair, port operation, logistics, and marine services amongst others.

During the visit, the Malaysian maritime companies will participate in a business meeting session with their Saudi counter parts at the Asharqia on Oct. 26.

The visit is aimed at increasing awareness of the capability of Malaysian marine, ship-building, ship repair services companies, and also establishing networking between the Malaysian association and companies and their Saudi counterparts.

Other objectives of the Meeting are to enhance bilateral ties and economic cooperation particularly in trade of products and services; increase awareness of MATRADE roles, functions and services to Saudi’s chambers, associations and the business community; and network with Malaysian professionals working and residing in the Eastern Province.

MATRADE is Malaysia’s national trade promotion agency under the ministry of international trade and industry (MITI). The visit is part of MATRADE’s continuous export promotional activities in the Kingdom, especially in the Eastern Province, and promotion and enhancement of bilateral ties and economic cooperation.
