JEDDAH: The office of Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) in Jeddah is organizing a specialized market visit of Malaysian oil and gas products and services companies to Saudi Arabia in conjunction with the seventh Saudi oil and gas exhibition (SAOGE).

The exhibition will take place from Nov. 23 to Nov. 25.

The Malaysian Oil and Gas Products and Services delegation is to hold talks with senior officials at the Asharqia Chamber.

Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) is the national trade promotion agency of the government of Malaysia under the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI).

As part of MATRADE’s continuous export promotional activities in Saudi Arabia and in an effort to promote and enhance bilateral ties and economic cooperation, MATRADE Jeddah office is organizing a specialized market visit of Malaysian oil and gas products and services companies in conjunction with the seventh Saudi oil and gas exhibition (SAOGE).

This mission will be led by Abu Bakar Koyakutty, head of oil and gas division in MATRADE headquarters.

During the visit, MATRADE Jeddah in collaboration with Asharqia Chamber of Commerce and Industry is arranging a one-to-one business meeting session with the delegation that will take place in Asharqia Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Nov. 22 from 10 am. To 1.30 pm.

MATRADE will also be promoting the well-known Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) 2016, which is scheduled to be held at Kuala Lumpur Convention Center (KLCC) from March 22 to 25.

The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) was founded in 1969.

Since then, OTC’s flagship conference is held annually in Houston and has expanded globally with Arctic Technology Conference, OTC Brazil and OTC Asia.

This event will provide a chance to enhance networking, business matching, exchange of ideas and knowledge among the business communities from different countries.

In terms of trade, bilateral trade relations between Malaysia and Saudi Arabia had increased significantly from $260 million in 1990 to $4.01 billion in 2014.

Globally, Saudi Arabia was Malaysia’s 19th largest trading partner, 23rd largest export destination and 17th largest import source.

The Malaysian delegation visiting the Kingdom consists of companies specializing in:

• Designing, supplying, installation, and testing & commissioning of waste heat recovery units (WHRU).

• Provide onshore and offshore catering for all type of vessels and flotel.

• Marine vessels various services such as operation & maintenance, tugging and crew.

• Training services.

•D esigning, manufacturing, testing and refurbishment of mechanical seals, rings and pumps.

• IT solutions.

• Provision of pipeline inspection services for oil and gas sector using high resolution magnetic flux leakage technology.
