More than 250 foreign delegates have signified their willingness to participate in the Private Sector Middle East Conference (PSMEC),which will begin at the Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC) from Dec. 3.

Describing it a major event, an official from the CSC told Arab News that an organizing committee has been appointed to prepare and manage the activities of the conference.

The event will be held with the support of Finance Minister Ibrahim Al-Assaf, he said, adding that the committee has launched the conference website in both Arabic and English languages.

The website has detailed information on the event, including the conference agenda, program, speakers and sponsors, as well as news coverage of the conference which will incorporate social media such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, where activities of the event will be on live broadcast.

Being a high-profile event, he said, the conference website has been affiliated with the respective websites of the committee of international trade (CIT) at the CSC in Riyadh, SUSRIS in the United States, and SBRIS in the UK, as well as the Saudi-US Trade Group’s (SUSTG) website, which will all collectively ensure wider coverage of the event.

The website also includes registration links for anyone interested in participating in the event from within and outside the Kingdom, in addition to visa and hotel services with competitive prices.

In the context of its global nature, English will be the default language of the event with instant translation services to be provided throughout as ensured by the organizing committee.

Four key organizations have come together to organize this global economic event, which is considered the first of its kind in the Middle East. They include the Ministry of Finance, the CSC, IMF and IFC.
