Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC), and an accompanying delegation recently visited the Republic of Malta.

The accompanying delegation included Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal, Hani Agha, Department Head Travel and External Affairs, Fahad bin Saad bin Nafel, executive assistant to the chairman Dr. Jihad Aoukal, private physician to the chairman and Hassan Moukhtar, adviser to the chairman.

During the visit, Prince Alwaleed met with Marie Louise Coleiro Preca, president of the Republic of Malta and Joseph Muscat, prime minister of Malta, at the Presidential Palace.

During the meeting, they discussed the warm friendship between Saudi Arabia and Malta and referred to a number of investment, economic and social issues.

The meeting also touched upon the latest economic developments.

Subsequent to the meeting, the prince was presented with Malta’s highest medal “The National Order of Merit in the Grade of Companion” by the president.

The medal is the prince’s 76th honorary medal.

On behalf of Prince Alwaleed, Prince Khaled met with Muscat, and the representatives of the Maltese government in 2014.

During the meeting, Prince Khaled congratulated Muscat and his government for the current status of Malta’s economy that is expected to show above average growth in the coming years.
