JUBAIL: The Royal Commission for Jubail (RCJ) gets a further boost in manufacturing following a number of projects approved for locating factories, on Tuesday. The new projects are estimated to exceed SR130 million in total investment in Jubail Industrial City.

The contracts, signed by Abdulaziz Attragi, RCJ's general manager of strategic planning, include Abdullah Al-Barrak Project to establish and operate a factory on a 13,000 sqm area for the production of plastic panels and products of polycarbonate, with an estimated investment of SR20 million.

Another contract was signed with the Arabian Consolidated Trading Group (ACT) to establish and operate a facility for cranes and heavy equipment services. The project's total cost is amounted to SR100 million, and will be established on a 40,000 sqm area.

One other project aims to establish a factory for the production of ready, concrete walls with an estimated investment of SR13 million. The factory will be established on a 20,000 sqm area.

These projects, expected to provide more than 340 direct jobs for Saudis, are the result of the RCJ's continuous work with its partners for the development of Jubail Industrial City.

The planned projects are supportive for all industries in Jubail through provision of equipment and cranes, and meeting the various requirements of industrial and commercial enterprises operating there.

The projects aim at producing plastic polycarbonate panels and products that can be used in a wide variety of consumer, industrial and construction products, such as auto parts, doors, ceilings, domes and facades of buildings, building materials and household items.
