Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Thunayan, president of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, on Wednesday signed eight contracts worth SR1.43 billion to carry out infrastructure projects in Jubail, Yanbu and Ras Al-Khair.

“We have implemented a large number of projects in the three industrial cities this year thanks to the government support,” he said, adding that total value of such projects amounted to SR8.48 billion.

Prince Saud said the commission would continue its efforts to make important contributions to the national economy, by attracting greater investment projects and creating more jobs for citizens.

Speaking about the eight new projects, he said it includes pumping of seawater to Ras Al-Khair, construction of housing units for families and bachelors and providing transport facilities for schools in Jubail.

“The industrial city in Yanbu will also witness new projects such as housing units for workers and maintenance of main water pipelines,” he said.
