Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Thunayan Al-Saud, chairman of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY), has signed two contracts to develop intersection and bridges on Al-Meena Street and school transportation services in Yanbu industrial city.

The value of the three contracts totaled SR199.73 million.

Prince Saud signed the first contract with China Harbor Company Engineering Arabia Ltd. that will work on the construction and development of Al-Meena Street in Yanbu Industrial City that includes creating intersections, drainage network, bridges between the highway and Al-Meena Street, landscaping, lighting, providing equipment, materials, testing and commissioning. The implementation period of this project is two years.

The second contract was concluded with Nasser Abdullah Abu Sarhad Foundation to provide school transport services for students from all grade levels in schools belonging to the Royal Commission in Yanbu.

A third contract provides engineering studies for the development of the coastal road and the essential facilities that belong to industrial and residential areas in Jubail Industrial City. This is a five year contract and was signed between Imar, Urban Consultants, and IDOM Ingenieria y consultoria, which will tasked with preparing the blueprints, plans, specifications and tenders pertaining to the construction work on the development of the coastline in Jubail Industrial City.

The Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu cities has the infrastructure and essential equipment for the industrial and residential areas and service areas with international specifications.

Road network in the cities of the commission is important in connecting the cities of Jubail and Yanbu with other cities. In addition, the commission will provide transport and export services from the industrial cities to ports located in the two cities or near them.
