The Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY) will participate in the Invest in Saudi exhibition.

The exhibition will be organized as part of the eighth Global Competitiveness Forum (GCF) from Jan. 25-27 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh.

Abdulrahman Al-Abdulqader, general manager of communication and media in RCJY and its spokesman, confirmed that the commission would focus on value-added industries and industrial integration to maximize gross domestic product (GDP) and diversify sources of income.

He said: "The complementary relationship between the Royal Commission and its partners in public and private sectors contributed to this trend.”

Al-Abdulqader said that this participation came under the guidance of Royal Commission Chairman Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Thunayan Al-Saud.

Al-Abdulqader explained that the commission will offer a lot of investment opportunities in Blaskim area in Jubail Industrial City.

This area will serve as an industrial competitive cluster. It has been allocated for the production of petrochemicals and manufacturing plastic products, which have been proved useful.

Blaskim will offset the economic gap between basic petrochemical industry and the main sectors of manufacturing industries.

In Yanbu Industrial City, the RCJY spokesman expounded that there are many investment opportunities available in various industrial sectors there.

He added that the recommendations that came out of the third Saudi Forum for Manufacturing Industries, organized last year in Yanbu, will achieve the aspirations of the Royal Commission for developing the Kingdom’s manufacturing sector.

Al-Abdulqader said: "Important international events such as the GCF provide a chance to view the commission's different investment opportunities, as well as exchange experiences with specialists and those interested in the industrial field from several countries."

The forum will contribute to attract more investments and create more job opportunities for Saudis.

"The RCJY will participate in the exhibition, which debuted at last year's forum with great success," added Al-Abdulqader.

The annual event was also held in several global capitals, including Tokyo and Paris, following the great success achieved during previous sessions.
