The Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY) has announced SR800 million worth of project contracts aimed at protecting installations in industrial cities.

The announcement was made at the concluding ceremony of the Sixth International Conference and Exhibition for Industrial Security (ICEIS)

In his presentation, RCJY’s CEO Mosleh H. Al-Otaibi said more than SR530 billion had been invested in industrial cities.

“We have well-developed plans in security, safety and fire fighting areas extending up to 2020,” he said, adding that RCJY has started implementing the project of security gates equipped with technologies.

He said that the commission was working with security agencies to prevent any disaster to the Kingdom's industrial facilities. They are manned by 600 security personnel in securing markets, beaches and hospitals in the industrial cities, in addition to a number of members of the security sectors support.

On the final session on Tuesday, Mohammed Al-Shammari, regional vice president of the International Society for Industrial Security (ISIS), underlined the efforts made for organizing the event.

According to him, ISII is the largest professional not-for-profit entity. It has 38,000 members worldwide in the field of industrial safety, with the Middle East accounting for a substantial membership size.
