Saudi Airlines Catering Company posted profits of SR442 million by the end of nine months of 2013 compared to SR383.2 million during the same period last year, local media reported quoting a report released by the company.

Earnings per share (EPS) of the company, meanwhile, rose to SR5.39, or an increase of 15.42 percent over last year’s share, the company said.

The company attributed growth of profits in the last nine months to the increase of net revenues at 11.8 percent compared to the figures of the same period last year.

However, profits of the third quarter dropped compared to the third quarter of last year due to the slow paced activities of the company’s major sectors during the holy month of Ramadan, the report said.

It is to be recalled that the company was established in 1980 but was privatized in 2007 by a royal decree to leverage the organization’s catering expertise, in the raising overall service standards and value delivery to the customers at both local and global markets.
