Jeddah is gearing up to host Saudi Building & Interiors Exhibition (SBIE). Set from May 11-14, it aims to offer a comprehensive range of construction and building materials, and interior designs.

Jeddah’s Centre for Forums & Events is the venue for the 24th event, which is being held with the support of Jeddah Gov. Prince Mishaal bin Majed.

Over 200 major manufacturers, agents and distributors from Bahrain, China, France, Egypt, India, Italy, Lebanon, Malaysia, Morocco, Taiwan and Turkey, and a number of Saudi companies are exhibiting an extensive range of the latest building materials, construction equipment, wood machinery, interior furnishings and other products.

The SBIE is claimed to be a comprehensive showcase for manufacturers and suppliers for launching new products or increasing brand awareness.

At SBIE, visitors will find all products, services and consultancy for these varied sectors that will provide an insight into the latest in this industry for the large number of public and private sector projects in the Kingdom, says a top executive of Al-Harithy Company for Exhibitions (ACE), which is organizing the show.

While Saudi companies are providing a wide range of materials, international companies will be displaying innovative technology and what is new in the market, “simultaneously providing an ideal platform for joint ventures, dealer and distributorships between the Saudi and the international counterparts,” ACE's VP-Exhibitions Zahoor Siddique said.

The sector, which is growing annually at 10 percent, has one of the largest shares of the Saudi budget for 2015, with major allocations for infrastructure, health care, education and municipal projects, he added.

The exhibition will remain open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
