A Saudi-South Korean business forum and exhibition will kick off at the Grand Intercontinental Seoul, on Wednesday under the aegis of Minister of Commerce and Industry Tawfiq Al-Rabiah.

The three-day forum will be attended by Al-Rabiah with ten other high ranking officials, namely, Minister of Economy and Planning Mohammed Al-Jasser, Hashim Yamani, president of King Abdullah Atomic and Renewable Energy City, Abdullatif Al-Othman, governor of the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority, and Bandar Knawy, executive general manager of health affairs, National Guard.

They will be accompanied by senior officials, a large number of businessmen and the private sector, which highlights the importance of the economic event for both countries.

President of the Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC) and Riyadh Chamber of Commerce Chairman Abdulrahman Al-Zamil stated that the South Korean business forum is a joint venture that has great importance in the light of the rapid changes and developments in the region.

He added that the Saudi-South Korean business gathering will freely discuss some of t he major economic sectors.

“The strong friendship and advanced convergence of policies, and the opportunities of integration between the two countries has enabled the businessmen and countries in building a privileged partnership,” Al-Zamil said.

Ahmed Al-Barrak, Saudi ambassador in Seoul, said the forum would create a bilateral partnership of strategic strength between the two countries.

He added that the forum’s mission is to foster, develop, and expand the strategic business alliance between the two countries. “This forum aims to organize events that contribute to a quantum leap in terms of the balance of trade between the two countries,” he explained.
