Saudi Arabia’s benchmark stock index extended gain for the third straight session on Sunday.

The Tadawul All-Share Index added further 160 points or 1.93 percent to finish at 8,445.13 points. With this increment, its current yearly indicator turned to green again.

Interestingly, the daily growth in Large cap index exactly matched with TASI’s 1.93 percent.

Top ten heavyweights closed in green; where Al Rajhi Bank surging by 4.31 percent, Samba Financial Group 2.1 percent and National Commercial Bank 1.62 percent.

Only market leader SABIC (Saudi Basic Industries Corp.) finished to the downside, posting a reduction of 0.76 percent and closing at SR 78.46.

Except Media and Publishing, sectoral indices witnessed a positive change, accumulating an aggregate of 2,329 points.

Agriculture & Food Industries sector turned in a splendid performance, climbing more than four percent to 11,880.13. Tourism and Telecom sectors followed it, advancing by 3.88 percent and 3.38 percent respectively.

Banking sector added considerable five hundred points, up 2.75 percent.

There were 113 net advancing issues, a largely strong market breadth.

Alalamiya Cooperative Insurance and AlAhli Takaful Co. topped the gainer chart at Saudi stock market, each rising by 9.96 percent for the day. Alalamiya volume went 4.3 times high over its 50-day average, hitting a fresh 13-week high of SR 74.5.

Most of the trading was concentrated in Alinma Bank, which liquidated over forty million shares, contributing 14.4 percent to the overall market volume.

It also maintained a heavy flow of liquidity SR802.6 million, a relative market share of 11.1 percent.

Market activity was a little low for the day; specifically 279 million shares worth SR7.3 billion were poured into the market.

The overall turnover also went slightly below the 50-day average level.
