Transport Minister Jabara Al-Seraisry on Sunday signed 46 contracts worth SR2.1 billion to carry out various projects related to his ministry, including maintenance, electrical work, computers, consultancy, study and designing and supervision, an official statement said.

Speaking to reporters after the signing ceremony in Riyadh, Al-Seraisry said the ministry has previously signed contracts worth more than SR6.3 billion. “Allocations have been made for these projects in the current 2014 national budget,” he pointed out.

He highlighted the ministry’s efforts to implement projects approved in the budget in the same year without delay. “Until today we have signed contracts worth SR8.4 billion this year,” the minister said and urged all contractors to complete their works on time following the required standard.

Al-Seraisry thanked Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah and Crown Prince Salman for their support to the ministry’s projects.
