The Saudi stocks took another dip at Tadawul on Sunday. Uncertainty prevailed throughout the day and Tadawul All-Share Index went down 1.65 percent.
The Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) lost 144.09 points close at 8,589.7 points. All sectors indices closed in the red, except the Transport sector, which advanced 0.22 percent to close at 8,249.44 points.
On the other hand, 14 sectors lost the value, Energy & Utility sector performed the worst to reduce 3.03 percent, followed by Industrial Investment and Media & Publishing sectors, which declined by 2.72 and 2.06 percent respectively. Out of 162 stocks traded on Sunday, 16 were up and 139 down while 7 remained unchanged.
The number of executed transactions reached 131,328 as compared to 146,215 transactions of Thursday, a decrease of 10.2 percent.
Alinma Bank topped the value chart on the Saudi stock market with a turnover of SR527.2 million. The volume chart was led by Dar Al-Arkan with trades of over 44.7 million shares.
ANB Insurance came out as significant gainer, up 6.66 percent to close the day at SR68.75.
THIMAR and CHEMANOL remained biggest losers of the day, down 9.75 and 9.67 percent close the day at SR73.75 and SR12.05 respectively.
Advanced Petrochemical Company announced its estimated first quarter 2015 net profit; it reported SR90 millions of net profit compared to SR137 million of the same period last year, reflecting a decrease of 34.5 percent. Operational profit also decreased by 27.8 percent to SR100 million for first quarter 2015. According to company the reasons for the decrease in profitability of first quarter 2015 compared with the last year are due to lower selling prices partially netted off by reduction in feedstock prices as well some realized losses from investments in Saudi Equity market.
