Abdulla Fouad Impalloy Company (AFIC), the Kingdom’s foremost cathodic protection company, hosted an event to announce a strategic business partnership with Cortec Middle East, a major company in the corrosion protection industry. The event brought together industry leaders and educational institutions to highlight the importance of an integrated approach to tackling the region’ chronic corrosion challenges.

The event brought together 75 representatives from respected educational institutions, major oil and petrochemical operating companies, leading engineering firms and contracting companies. The attendees were briefed on the latest advances in corrosion control, including Cortec’s corrologic solutions for soil side corrosion of aboveground storage tank bottoms, corrosion under insulation, cased pipeline crossings and other applications.

AFIC and Cortec ME concluded with attendees reportedly feeling well informed and excited about this partnership and its potential impact on the current and best future industrial practices in the field of corrosion control.
