Hellofood, an online food ordering service worldwide, secured more than $ 20 million funding from a group of investors, among them Phenomen Ventures and AB Kinnevik.
The company focuses especially on emerging markets, operates together with its affiliated brand Foodpanda already in 27 countries on four continents and reaches about three billion people worldwide.
Hellofood was set up in Saudi Arabia last month and Hellofood customers can now order their food from more than 200 restaurants at saudi.hellofood.com everyday.
In the last months, Hellofood and Foodpanda expanded into 15 new countries and launched a mobile application for iOS and Android, which is already the leading food delivery application in most countries.
Hellofood cooperates with more than 15,000 restaurants and is already the market leader in the majority of the countries it operates in.
Foodpanda recently also took over the competitor Ételvitel KFT in Hungary.
