Ports Development Company, owner and developer of King Abdullah Port (KAP), organized its annual iftar recently.

KAP community members and partners including Saudi Coast Guards, Saudi Customs, SFDA, Economic Cities Authority, National Container Terminal, Huta Marine Works Ltd. and all other parties who work and are involved at KAP were among those present.

Abdullah Hameedaddin, MD of Ports Development Company, stated: “I would like to express my best wishes during the holy month of Ramadan, asking Allah Almighty to bless the Kingdom and Islamic region.”

He added: “This iftar gathering comes as part of the ongoing cooperation and strong binding work with our contributing partners in ensuring the achievement of the port’s strategic objectives and enhancing its role in advancing the national economy.”

Hameedaddin highlighted the prominent role and outstanding efforts of all partners across all sectors of the port in supporting the developmental march of success. He stressed the importance of exerting further efforts to improve port services and reach the highest levels of professionalism.

KAP, owned and developed by Ports Development Company at KAEC, is the first port being developed and managed by the private sector. The port is characterized by its strategic geographical location, with integrated services through the practice of the most advanced technologies and the use of local and international experts to provide the best services.

The port has been included among the largest global shipping lines, through a well established business plan to develop the port at a steady pace and a clear vision to become one of the leading major ports in the world.
