LG Electronics Inc. Global and Al-Hassan Ghazi Ibrahim Shaker Co., the sole distributor of LG Air Conditioners in Saudi Arabia, have opened a new state-of-the-art Energy and Safety Center (ESC) in Riyadh in the presence of esteemed government representatives, professionals in the industrial sector and members of the press.

Both companies joined forces many years ago to establish LG-Shaker Factory, an A/C products manufacturing enterprise that successfully grew into a prominent regional supplier of integrated and eco-friendly residential and commercial A/C solutions.

Jameel Al-Molhem, MD of Al-Hassan G.I Shaker Co., and Deuk Soo Ahn, president of LG Electronics Saudi Arabia, welcomed the guests.

The center, certified by SASO (Saudi Standards Metrology and Quality Organization), is built on an area of 1,665 square meters and consists of several test labs that include a sound test chamber for noise test up to 15 dB, psychometric chambers for cooling capacity and heating capacity test up to 180,000 btu, and a reliability test room for packing test, rain test, etc.

The establishment of the new ESC came as a result of LG-Shaker’s commitment to CSR and the principle of sustainability. The new advanced center also reflects LG-Shaker’s strategy to take the lead, in collaboration with the Saudi government, toward reducing energy consumption.
