Almarai, Ma’aden, Sipchem and Zain KSA have signed an agreement to establish the Saudi chapter of the Middle East Investor Relations Association (MEIRA). The body aims to develop practices in the field of investor relations and facilitate communication between listed companies, financial market stakeholders, financial analysts and legislative and regulatory bodies in the Kingdom to implement investor relations global best practices.
Ibraheem Alkharji, investor relations manager at Almarai, said: “The establishment of the Saudi chapter will enhance the awareness of international investor relations practices, which will contribute in increasing the number of listed companies that implement global disclosure and transparency standards.”
The Middle East Investor Relations Association is a not-for-profit organization that aims to promote best investor relations practices in the Middle East.
