The Indomie factory recently welcomed 48 male graduates of the Soliman Fakeeh Nursing College. They visited the production unit where they were conducted on a tour of hygiene, food and work safety, including employees’ benefits.
From the visitor galleries, the future nurses observed the five main production stages, quality control, warehousing, factory environment and employee benefits.
The factory’s production and quality control managers explained to them that Indomie’s factory relies on five of the world’s most modern production lines, to produce their instant noodles in conformity with all national and international safety standards to ensure the food quality of the product.
These production lines run every day to operate 11 production steps, from wheat selection to packaging and storing.
It was made clear to the future nurses that Indomie is very thorough when it comes to testing and verifying all contents used in its products before exporting them and even before producing them.
In fact, before any raw material is brought into the factory, there is a thorough quality control and testing of these materials.
Samples of these materials are taken to the labs for testing and analysis to ensure purification.
Once approved, the materials are deemed as top quality as per the standards set and the full quantity is taken into the factory. Each product of Indomie must be “100 percent healthy.”
There is a quality control check at every stage of production where cleanliness and highest degree of care is executed until the final product reaches packaging, whereby it follows the highest of GSO, SASO and Codex regulations and policies to ensure best quality and sterilization of the product.
