Riyad Bank announced that it is sponsoring the Book of the Year Award for the 8th consecutive year as part of its prominent role in supporting the cultural movement in the Kingdom and contributing to stimulate the cultural and literary production, as well as providing a remarkable platform to discover national talents.

The Book of the Year Award is considered one of the most prestigious literary awards across the Kingdom, which encourages different forms of writings in science, knowledge and innovation.

It is adopted by Riyadh Book Club in cooperation with Riyad Bank, which supported the award since its inception in 2008 and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Information as one of the official cultural awards.

The award in its 7th edition went to King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives for issuing "The Dictionary of Literature and Writers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia," which was written by more than 70 specialists and professors.

Mohammad Al-Rabeah, EVP of marketing and the general director of community services programs at Riyad Bank, said: The Book of the Year Award is on the top of the bank’s agenda of sponsorships due to the award’s reputation and credibility as well as its prestigious role.

Al-Rabeah also confirmed Riyad Bank’s keenness to continue the collaboration with Riyadh Book Club to preserve the continuity of this award by providing the required resources to consolidate its position as one of the most important cultural movements across the Kingdom.
