Shaker Group, the sole distributor of LG air conditioners in Saudi Arabia for more than 20 years, reaffirmed its strong partnership by renewing the agreement contract with LG Electronics for the LG-Shaker Factory in Riyadh for another 10 years, starting Sept. 13, 2016 to Sept. 12, 2026.

For the Shaker Group, the partnership with LG for ten more years will mean putting many more strategic plans for achieving common goals and translatinh the vision of the future into successes suiting the needs of the Saudi consumer.

All this goes in line with the efforts of the Kingdom to raise awareness of energy saving in Saudi Arabia, in addition to nationalizing technology and training of national talents.

Abdulelah Abdullah Abunayyan, chairman of Shaker Group, stated: “After more than 65 years, Shaker Group was able to achieve the objectives it had set forth, and the superior quality of services that is offered by Shaker Group in the Saudi market is the key to this ongoing success.”

Abunayyan added that the renewal of this partnership is part of the leading role Shaker Group is playing in the Saudi market, “especially as LG air conditioners are the most sold in the Kingdom for 10 consecutive years in a row.”

The LG-Shaker Factory boasts local expertise that contributes to the growth of the Saudi economy by employing national talents and optimizing local technologies in the cooling industry.

The factory began its operations in March 2008, with a production capacity of 250,000 units per annum, and reaching a whopping 1,450 million units by the end of 2014.
