Siemens, a global powerhouse in electronics and electrical engineering operating in the energy, infrastructure, industry and health care sectors, showcased a series of new health care technologies at the Saudi Health Exhibition and Conference 2014 in Riyadh.

Siemens Healthcare stated that it is committed to lineup behind the Kingdom’s strategy in developing a world-class health care system by providing innovative technologies, state-of-the-art solutions and tailor-made training for local health care personnel to help millions of Saudis to live healthier lives.

To meet these needs Siemens Healthcare is supporting Saudi Arabia in overcoming issues concerning women’s health, oncology, cardiovascular care, and knowledge transfer in the Middle East region’s largest economy.

Siemens has pulled the wraps off a number of innovations in medical imaging, which deliver better quality results in shorter periods of time, while reducing radiation dosage and other forms of exposure for patients.

Among the health care innovations presented at Saudi Health was the company’s new CT system — the Somatom Force. This third generation of dual source computed tomography enables considerably quicker and more precise diagnoses at reduced doses. Early detection examinations and functional 4D imaging can be conducted using up to 50 percent lower radiation dose.
