This is with reference to the report “Daesh is tarnishing the image of Islam, says JIP leader” (July 8). In Pakistan’s current political situation, I believe that Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has the potential to steer the country out of these crises. It is the only political party, which has a proper intra-party system of election and nobody is above the party laws or rules. However, JI needs to change its approach. — Yacoob Hassan, Jeddah
