How to get more interactions on Twitter

Twitter’s popularity is increasing in the Arab World, thanks partly to politics and partly to Twitter’s success in winning over new users. Despite being a news network mainly, professionals and organizations have recently realized the importance of using Twitter to listen to related conversations and manage them, or may be part of them.
In this article, I will tell you how to increase the number of interactions you get even if you’ve just signed up!

Keep your tweets consonant and clear. Stick to a variety of topics related to your industry, and speak in the same tone.
Share quotations. Don’t ask why, but know that people tend to like quotes so share some quotes every now and then.
Ask questions. If you only tweet opinions or news don’t count on getting replies. Asking questions to your followers will get you responses whether as replies or retweets. People respond better when they are asked to do something, so you can as well ask them to retweet an announcement for example.
Offer your advice. Helping people will not only earn you positive karma but you’ll establish yourself as an expert after a while of answering certain questions. Don’t keep silent if you can’t answer or help directly, you can always retweet their question or mention someone you think can help. I’m sure that your followers will appreciate it and return the favor some other time.
Retweet. Don’t just tweet and go! Retweet tweets that you like or don’t like, retweeting doesn’t mean you approve or endorse. Help amplify the voices of those you follow and be part of the conversation.
Respond to all the mentions. Always be notified of interactions you receive and thank those who respond to some of your tweets by retweeting. Most importantly, don’t leave a mention without a response. Make your followers know that you care, that they are not just a number that you brag about.
