ISLAMABAD: King Abdullah II of Jordan met Pakistan’s Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Zubair Mahmood Hayat on Tuesday, and discussed military cooperation between the two countries.
A statement from Jordan’s Royal Hashemite Court said: “The meeting, attended by (Jordan’s) Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat, covered regional and international efforts to fight terrorism within a holistic approach.
“Adviser to His Majesty and Director of the Office of His Majesty Manar Dabbas, and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Jordan Junaid Rehmat also attended the meeting.”
King Abdullah II visited Pakistan earlier in February 2018. During his two-day visit to Islamabad, in a meeting with Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, the two leaders agreed to focus more intently on enhancing bilateral trade and investment relations between their two countries.
