Saudi delegation, Pakistan PM discuss boosting economic, trade ties

ISLAMABAD: A high-level Saudi delegation headed by Khalid Al-Falih, minister of energy, industry and mineral resources, met with Pakistani Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Wednesday.
Al-Falih was accompanied by Dr. Mosaad Alaiban, member of the Council of Ministers and advisor to the Royal Court; Maj. Gen. Talal Abdullah Al-Otaibi, special advisor to the defense minister; and Nawaf Saeed bin Al-Malkiy, ambassador to Pakistan.
The visiting delegation informed Abbasi of the Kingdom’s interest in closer economic and trade relations with Pakistan.
His office said he “reiterated Pakistan’s close fraternal ties with Saudi Arabia, and the government’s commitment to strengthen bilateral relations in all areas of mutual interest.”
The delegation conveyed the greetings of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman. Abbasi conveyed his greetings to the king and crown prince, and to the Saudi people.
