July 31: Dawn states that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Monday filed a reference against former prime minister Shaukat Aziz, former federal minister for water and power Liaquat Jatoi and others. According to a NAB spokesman, the reference has been filed in the Accountability Court, Islamabad, against Shaukat Aziz, Liaquat Jatoi, former federal secretary Ismail Qureshi, former additional secretary Yousaf Memon, former joint secretary Ghulam Nabi Mangrio, senior water and power officer Umar Farooq, former chairman of the Alternative Energy Development Board (AEDB) retired Air Marshal Shahid Hamid, former secretary of the AEDB Brig Dr Nasim A. Khan and former director general of the AEDB Dr Basharat Hasan Bashir.
