The Malaysian Reserve: edotco aborts RM4b Pakistan tower deal

September 18 – The Malaysian Reserve states that Axiata Group Bhd’s infrastructure subsidiary, edotco Group Sdn Bhd, has abandoned its proposed RM4 billion deal to acquire 13,000 towers from Pakistan Mobile Communications Ltd (PMCL) in Pakistan. The company cited the non-fulfillment of the conditions precedent to the sales and purchase agreement, especially regulatory approval within the stipulated time frame, as the reasons behind the cancellation of the deal.
